The online video service (OTT) Wavve has unveiled its September content lineup, featuring original productions such as "The Community 2: Invisible Hand," as well as Korean and international dramas and Chuseok holiday specials. Six past hit historical dramas, including "Jewel in the Palace" and "Dae Jo Yeong," will be reintroduced in 4K resolution.
According to Wavve on September 2, "The Community 2: Invisible Hand" will be released on September 4. This is the second season of the social experiment survival show "Thought Verification Zone: The Community." Thirteen contestants will be divided into four teams—White, Blue, Red, and Black—and continue trading and making choices with different resources. The cast includes actor Lee Sumin, culinary YouTuber Seungwooappa, dancer Nucks, and Lee Jina from "Bloody Game 3."
On September 23, Wavve will exclusively release "Legendary Investigation," a program that revisits past major criminal cases using forensic science techniques. Former and current detectives, along with forensic science experts, review both the original investigations and modern techniques that could be applied today.
New dramas will also be released in succession. "Everyone but You," a KBS 2TV series starring Seo Kangjun and Ahn Eunjin, will be available starting September 12. This melodrama depicts the relationship between Nam Gung-ho and Lee Mido, who have been dating for 10 years, and how it is shaken by the arrival of a new character.
Wavve continues to offer the BL drama "Summer Break," released on August 28. The story follows Yeo Eunho and Cha Dohyun, who have grown up together for 19 years and begin to discover their feelings for each other. "Let's Get Divorced," starring Lee Minjung and Kim Jisuk, is also available on Wavve.
Among international series, season 27 of the American crime drama "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" will be released exclusively on September 7. The show follows Olivia Benson and her special crimes unit in New York, and this season sees Amanda Rollins returning as a main cast member.
On September 21, Wavve will release an 11-episode omnibus horror series based on Japanese manga artist Junji Ito's works, titled "Strange: Junji Ito's Sleepless Weird Tales." The opening theme will feature "Jigsaw" by IVE, while singer-songwriter 10CM's "The Darkest Night" will serve as the ending track.
For the Chuseok special, Wavve will present KBS's "Your Life Is a Never-Ending Story: Lee Seung Chul," marking the 40th anniversary of singer Lee Seung Chul's debut. On September 24, Wavve will release a concert featuring highlights from Lee Seung Chul's 40-year music career.
