Instead of adopting AI solutions separately for each individual task, LS Securities will first build a shared platform and initially apply the AI platform to tasks commonly handled by employees across the company.
The platform will be designed as a multi-large language model (LLM) environment, enabling users to choose and utilize various generative AI models such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini according to the nature of their work tasks. The plan is to secure scalability so that not only new commercial AI services but also internally operated proprietary AI models can be integrated in the future.
Key areas of application include: ▲ knowledge search utilizing internal regulations, manuals, and work documents; ▲ compliance work support such as review of terms and conditions, legal regulations, and internal guidelines; and ▲ support for report and project plan drafting. Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) technology will also be implemented, allowing answers based on internal materials while enabling users to verify original texts and sources.
The platform will also include functions that allow employees to directly design AI agents and workflows. Through this, in the future, staff will be able to automate processes by setting up the procedures and conditions for repetitive tasks and linking multiple work stages, thereby expanding the scope of AI-agent-based work automation.
Security and internal control systems required by financial companies will be built into the platform as a whole. Features such as user and department-level access control, authorization management, activity logs, and audit systems will be applied. In addition, AI governance stipulating internal standards and responsibilities for AI adoption and utilization will be established. Integration with external AI services will also be strictly managed in line with relevant regulations and internal control standards.
Oneline AI will oversee the construction of the AI platform optimized for LS Securities' operations and its application to financial business processes. Scionic AI will provide core functions such as a document analysis and search engine, RAG, and AI agent and workflow builder, based on its own STORM platform.
Hong Wonsik, CEO of LS Securities, stated, “Rather than focusing on how much AI we adopt, what matters is how we transform the company’s working methods through AI. We will build an environment where employees can focus on more important work and decision-making, and respond more swiftly to a rapidly changing market.”
