LSK iRobot Unveils AI Virtual Artist "Chaeyoon"
KOSDAQ-listed LSK iRobot is making a full-fledged entry into the AI content business by unveiling a virtual artist powered by generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The company plans to begin with the virtual intellectual property (IP) business and later expand into the industrial AI solutions sector, including manufacturing and logistics automation.
On September 2, LSK iRobot announced the launch of its AI virtual artist 'Chaeyoon' (real name: Oh Chaeyoon) and its official entry into the AI content business. Chaeyoon is a virtual IP developed using generative AI and visual intelligence technology from OneTouch AI.
After initially announcing in August its plan to release the AI virtual IP 'Cherina,' the company reviewed the stage name and finally chose Chaeyoon. Beta testing began on September 1, and based on the concept of a former idol trainee turned longboarder, Chaeyoon will be producing a variety of content related to dance, lifestyle, travel, and sports.
The company plans to regularly release videos featuring Chaeyoon’s daily life, primarily through Instagram. User reactions and data for each piece of content will be analyzed to inform and refine future activities and content production strategies.
Chaeyoon will also be expanding activities to international markets. She is scheduled to serve as the main model for a shopping mall on a Philippine social networking service (SNS), with related activities targeted to begin in the second half of this year. Specific dates will be finalized after discussions with the client company.
LSK iRobot also plans to expand revenue models using AI virtual IP, aiming to turn AI content into a real business through brand collaborations, advertising content production, and IP licensing.
In particular, the company intends to leverage its expertise in generative AI and visual intelligence technology, gained through the virtual artist development process, to broaden its applications to the industrial AI field. Their strategy is to develop new solutions by combining existing operations in manufacturing automation, logistics automation, and service robots with AI technology.

An LSK iRobot official stated, "Chaeyoon is our first case of commercializing AI technology into a real business model," adding, "We will use the AI content business as a foundation to secure new growth engines and broaden our business scope to the industrial AI solutions sector."
