BC Card and K-Bank Launch "Hidden Card" Offering 6% Discount on Online Payments via Naver Pay, Kakao Pay, and Coupang Pay
"Synergy Between K-Bank's Customer Access and BC Card's Payment Expertise"
On September 2, BC Card announced the launch of its new "Hidden Card" in partnership with K-Bank. The Hidden Card offers a 6% automatic discount for online easy payment transactions made via platforms such as Naver Pay, Kakao Pay, and Coupang Pay.
The Hidden Card is a Private Label Credit Card (PLCC) product targeted at K-Bank customers in their 20s, 30s, and 40s, who primarily make purchases online and through mobile devices.
Customers with a prior month's spending of at least 400,000 won can receive a 6% discount when they make an online payment of 10,000 won or more per transaction using Naver Pay, Kakao Pay, or Coupang Pay. The maximum discount per transaction is 3,000 won.
The total monthly discount limit varies based on the prior month's spending. Customers with at least 400,000 won in the previous month are eligible for up to 10,000 won in monthly discounts; those with 1,000,000 won or more can receive up to 30,000 won per month; and those with 1,500,000 won or more can receive up to 40,000 won per month.
For overseas online and offline merchant transactions, a 2% discount is applied, with no prior month spending requirement or discount limit.
For domestic transactions of 50,000 won or more, users can take advantage of an interest-free installment plan for 2 to 3 months. The globally compatible card also includes the Mastercard Platinum tier service as standard. The annual fee is 25,000 won for both domestic-only and international-compatible cards.
To celebrate the launch of the new product, an event is currently underway. Until the 31st of next month, a 500 won discount will be provided for each transaction of 10,000 won or more in the restaurant category made with the Hidden Card. This promotion offers a maximum discount of 10 times per month, totaling up to 5,000 won, with no minimum monthly spending requirement.
Customers who receive the Hidden Card for the first time and use the K-Bank Plus Box will also receive a coupon for a 2% preferential interest rate, provided the day after card issuance.
The preferential interest rate coupon will be available until December 31, and applies to K-Bank Plus Box balances exceeding 5,000,000 won and up to 15,000,000 won.
The Hidden Card is the second product launched by connecting the customer channels of BC Card's proprietary product, 'Baro Card,' and K-Bank.
