President Lee Nominates Pusan National University Professor Kyeung Sungkyun as National Intellectual Property Committee Chairperson
On September 1, the Blue House announced that President Lee Jaemyung has nominated Sungkyun Kyeung, currently a professor at Pusan National University, as Chairperson of the National Intellectual Property Committee.
Chairperson Kyeung is a legal scholar who is well-versed in intellectual property law and has extended his expertise to artificial intelligence (AI) and public contracts. He has made significant contributions to intellectual property policy and legal system development through various government committees and academic organizations.
The Blue House explained, "He is the right person to proactively respond to changes in new technology environments such as AI and digital transformation, and to make intellectual property not only something to be created and protected but also a key driver of national growth."
