Siwoo Kim and Joohyung Kim have been selected for the International Team at the 2026 Presidents Cup golf competition.
On September 1 (Korean time), the tournament committee announced on its website the six players who secured automatic entry based on the world rankings. World No. 13 Siwoo Kim was chosen as the first pick. This marks his fourth appearance at the Presidents Cup, following participations in 2017, 2022, and 2024.
The tournament committee stated regarding Siwoo Kim, "This year on the PGA Tour, he achieved the second-most top-10 finishes (11 times) after world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (13 times, USA), and consistently demonstrated strong performance throughout the season, including three runner-up finishes."

After struggling early in the season, he claimed his fourth career victory at the Genesis Scottish Open last July, ending a 33-month title drought. This will be Joohyung Kim's third Presidents Cup appearance, following 2022 and 2024.
Besides the two, Ryan Fox (No. 25, New Zealand), Hideki Matsuyama (No. 26, Japan), Australian-Korean Min Woo Lee (No. 29), and Adam Scott (No. 51, Australia) have also joined the International Team. Sungjae Im maintained his No. 57 position in the world rankings as of this announcement. He may still join the International Team as a captain’s pick.

The Presidents Cup is a biennial men’s golf team event between Team USA and the International Team (excluding players from the USA and Europe). This year, it will take place in Chicago, Illinois, starting from September 24. Both Team USA and the International Team will field 12 players each: 6 are chosen based on FedEx Cup points (USA) or world rankings (International), and 6 are selected as captain's picks.
