KB Kookmin Bank to Hire New and Experienced Employees in the Second Half of 2026
Hiring Approximately 180 New and Experienced Employees, Including Six Categories Such as UB, ICT, and ESG Shared Growth
Expanding Recruitment of Regional Talent... At Least 25% of UB Hires Will Be Local Talent
KB Kookmin Bank announced on September 1 that it will recruit approximately 180 new and experienced employees in the second half of this year.
For new recruits, a total of about 160 people will be selected across six categories: Universal Banker (UB), current or soon-to-be-discharged military officers, certified professionals (Certified Public Accountant), ICT, vocational high school graduates, and ESG Co-Growth.
For the Universal Banker segment, hiring is divided into Corporate Banking·Wealth Management and Regional Talent. The selection process proceeds in the following order: document screening, written exam, and first and second interviews.
To support balanced regional growth, KB Kookmin Bank plans to expand the “Regional Talent” category and select more than 25% of all UB hires from local regions. Employees selected as regional talent will work in their assigned areas, offer financial services based on an understanding of local customers and businesses, and develop into regional sales experts.
Recruitment will also take place for the “current or soon-to-be-discharged military officers” category, targeting candidates with leadership and a pioneering spirit developed during military service. Additionally, for the “Certified Professionals (Certified Public Accountant)” segment, the bank will seek candidates holding the Korea Institute of Certified Public Accountants (KICPA) qualification, focusing on accounting expertise.
To strengthen digital financial competitiveness, hiring will take place for the “ICT” category. This segment is further divided into IT and AI·platform development, with candidates selected through document screening, coding tests, and interviews to hire talent capable of adapting to technological changes in the financial industry.
Additionally, the bank will hire for the “ESG Co-Growth” category, which is open to people with disabilities, recipients of the Basic Livelihood Security Program, children from multicultural families, and North Korean defectors. For soon-to-be graduates of vocational high schools, the “Vocational High School” category will also provide employment opportunities, with candidate potential evaluated mainly on work skills in order to enhance organizational diversity and inclusion.
Applications can be submitted through KB Kookmin Bank’s official recruitment website until September 9. For more details, refer to the KB Kookmin Bank website and the official recruitment page. A YouTube live information session will also be held at 5 p.m. on the same day.
