Intops Expands into Defense Drone Business with Unique Precision Manufacturing Technology... Strategic Partnership with PABLO AIR
Intops is expanding its business scope into the defense drone market by leveraging its ultra-precision manufacturing capabilities. The company has established a strategic partnership with the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) specialist, PABLO AIR, and plans to participate in the mass production of drones for military training and education. The partnership's scope will also be broadened to include government pilot projects.
On September 1, Intops announced that it would participate as a core manufacturer in the Ministry of National Defense's "Procurement and Manufacturing Project for Commercial Drones for Education," for which PABLO AIR was recently selected as a supplier.
In this project, PABLO AIR is responsible for designing the drone body and developing the key control systems, while Intops handles mass production and quality control. Intops will contribute to the stable supply and quality standardization of drones used for military education and training.
Intops possesses ultra-precision die and molding technologies, as well as smart factory-based production management capabilities, accumulated across various industries such as IT devices, home appliances, and automotive parts. Building upon this, the company aims to secure manufacturing competitiveness in the defense sector, where high reliability and precision are essential.
This collaboration is particularly significant as it extends beyond simple contract manufacturing to the establishment of a mass production system for drone manufacturing. As the drone industry moves beyond research and prototyping toward widespread adoption in military and industrial settings, the importance of production infrastructure that can ensure consistent quality and stable output becomes paramount.
The two companies are also considering forming a consortium for government pilot projects in addition to airframe production. By combining Intops' manufacturing and mass-production expertise with PABLO AIR's drone design and control technology, they plan to expand their business into the defense drone sector and other future mobility fields.
