The 37 participants, who were selected through a highly competitive admissions process, will take part in a total of 568 hours of practical, work-oriented curriculum over the next three months.
The curriculum is centered around the key skills required in the digital finance industry, including Python, SQL, financial data analysis, artificial intelligence (AI), and user experience (UX). In addition to formal classes, the trainees will complete two hands-on projects, gaining experience in applying what they have learned directly to actual financial services.
With each new class, Kiwoom Digital Academy has continued to enhance its curriculum and expand its connections with industry professionals. Notably, starting with the 4th class, the scope of student projects has broadened from a narrow focus on AI chatbots to address a wide range of financial services, encouraging participants to explore diverse perspectives.
Exchange with professionals currently working in the industry has also been strengthened. Kiwoom Securities employees directly participate in classes and provide mentoring. Through this, trainees gain a deeper understanding of the industry and gain valuable insights needed to discover project topics.
There are also cases where the education has led directly to hiring. An outstanding graduate from the 1st class was ultimately hired as a new employee at Kiwoom Securities. Since then, the benefit of exemption from the document screening stage has been provided to top-performing graduates, and this will also apply to the open recruitment of new employees at the company in the second half of this year.
For the 5th class as well, the top 10% of trainees based on comprehensive evaluations will receive exemption from the document screening when applying for positions at Kiwoom Securities. The best trainee will also receive an additional scholarship of 1 million won. Furthermore, current employee mentoring and job placement support programs will be provided to support the employment and growth of participants.
