"Explore the Safari on Foot"... Everland to Launch "Wild Savanna Expedition" on the 12th
1km Walking Expedition Across Safari Grasslands
River Trail Section Now Open Within Lost Valley
Free Experience Available for Visitors Until End of November
Everland is introducing a new safari wildlife experience featuring animals to mark the arrival of the cool autumn season.
Everland, operated by the Resort Division of Samsung C&T Corporation, announced on September 1 that it will launch the unique “Wild Savanna Expedition,” an experiential program in which participants explore the safari on foot and immerse themselves in the wonders of nature. The program will run from September 12 to coincide with the opening of the autumn festival.
The Wild Savanna Expedition is a new exploration program designed so that visitors can freely walk through the exotic safari grasslands and interact closely with the animals.
Visitors can walk directly into Lost Valley, the ecological safari zone where they previously had to observe animals from inside vehicles, and come face-to-face with the elegance and grandeur of giraffes, elephants, rhinos, and more.

On the River Trail, which follows a floating bridge over the waterway between Safari World and Lost Valley, visitors can experience the peaceful everyday life of herbivores and also observe the majestic presence of predators like lions and hyenas from various viewpoints.
Everland has designed the exploration route so that guests can encounter new natural landscapes throughout their journey, maximizing immersion by arranging optimal observation viewpoints tailored to each animal’s ecological traits.
Near the "giraffe zone," the autumn foliage enhances the seasonal feel of the savanna, while unique new photo spots allow explorers to capture the atmosphere of an expedition team against the grassland backdrop. A new exclusive observation zone has also been created for up-close views of the rhinos’ imposing presence.
Throughout the exploration course, zookeepers offer engaging ecological storytelling. Guests can naturally learn about the animals’ behavioral patterns, ecological characteristics, and the importance of preserving endangered species, making this a highly beneficial educational experience for families.
Visitors who complete the entire length of the approximately one-kilometer course from the entrance of Lost Valley will receive an explorer’s certificate to commemorate their Wild Savanna Expedition.
Previously, Everland ran a trial “Walking Safari” for about one month in the spring, drawing positive feedback from 350,000 visitors. By meticulously analyzing the customer experience data and feedback collected at that time, Everland has strengthened the route and content, resulting in a more evolved and dynamic animal program.
The Wild Savanna Expedition will operate from September 12 through the end of November, and all Everland visitors can participate for free simply by lining up on site.
