This campaign is aimed at helping with the recovery of the community and revitalizing the local economy by encouraging employees to voluntarily participate through donations, visits to the affected areas, and supporting local businesses.
The Geoje & Tongyeong Love DNA campaign is a social contribution activity led by employees, linking Hometown Love Donations and Hometown Love Practices.
First, the Hometown Love Donation is operated as a designated contribution to support recovery from heavy rainfall damage, where employees can freely choose between the cities of Geoje and Tongyeong and donate at least 100,000 KRW.
The Hometown Love Practice activity encourages employees to visit or travel to Geoje and Tongyeong in person and to use local businesses, thereby joining the efforts to revitalize the regional economy in their own way.
BNK Kyongnam Bank intends to promote meaningful mutual growth activities that go beyond mere donations, emphasizing actual visits and spending in local communities, all grounded in the voluntary participation of employees.
Taehan Kim, CEO of BNK Kyongnam Bank, stated, "This campaign was organized to share the pain felt by local residents who suffered from an unexpected disaster. BNK Kyongnam Bank employees will also work together so that the affected areas can return to normal life as soon as possible."
Meanwhile, BNK Kyongnam Bank also dispatched an emergency volunteer group to Geoje for flood recovery on August 19 and delivered disaster relief kits, continuously implementing various support measures for the restoration of areas affected by disasters.
