Jang Donghyuk: "Cabinet Reshuffle Against Public Sentiment... A Leftist Mix Including Pro-Moon and Cho Kuk"
Jang Donghyuk, leader of the People Power Party, criticized President Lee Jaemyung's cabinet reshuffle on August 31, calling it a "cabinet remake that goes against the will of the people and reverses public sentiment." He added, "President Lee claims to look after the left, but now he's brought together the pro-Moon (pro-Moon Jae-in faction) and even Cho Kuk (Innovation Party), creating a leftist mishmash."

If President Lee does not replace them with people who will work properly, eventually the people will replace the president."
Jang first addressed Justice Minister nominee Kim Seungwon, saying, "He is co-chair of the group advocating for the withdrawal of indictments, and has led efforts for a special prosecutor act to abolish indictments and remove the crime of embezzlement. In the end, this means that no matter how much the public opposes, the aim is to focus entirely on annulling trials."
He continued, criticizing Minister of Economy and Finance nominee Lee Hyungil and Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport nominee Hong Jisun as "the main culprits behind the real estate tax bomb, and the architects of President Lee's basic housing policy during his time in Gyeonggi Province," adding, "Regardless of what happens to the people, they intend to push forward with their real estate policies." Regarding Gender Equality and Family Minister nominee Yong Hyein, he commented, "an absurd pick," and said, "The anger index among youths in their 20s and 30s is about to explode, having gone beyond the breaking point."

Jang further stated, "Meanwhile, Policy Chief Kim Yongbum, whom the people have demanded be ousted, and Unification Minister Jeong Dongyoung, who is undermining the South Korea-U.S. alliance, have remained in their positions," adding, "This shows that President Lee considers overturning his own trials more urgent than restoring people's lives or the South Korea-U.S. alliance."
