Korea Securities Depository to Release 229.48 Million Mandatory Held Shares from 38 Companies in September
The Korea Securities Depository announced that 229.48 million shares from 38 listed companies, registered for mandatory holding, will be released in the coming month.
According to the Korea Securities Depository on August 31, the mandatory holding registration system is an electronic registration by the Korea Securities Depository that restricts major shareholders from selling their shares for a certain period, in order to protect general investors.
By market, in the KOSPI market, 119.49 million shares from five companies—including SK Innovation, K Bank, KR Motors, Trinity Aviation, and Taeyoung Construction—will be released from mandatory holding.
