Huons Lab Secures Patents for 11 Antibody Formulations Utilizing HyDIFFUZE
Improved Maximum Serum Concentration and Drug Exposure Confirmed in Preclinical Trials
Expanding Application Scope to a Broader Range of Biologics
Huons Lab, a subsidiary of Huons Global, has secured intellectual property rights to expand the application of its recombinant human hyaluronidase-based formulation platform technology.
On the 31st, Huons Lab announced that it has recently completed both domestic patent registration and international patent application (PCT) for 11 subcutaneous (SC) antibody drug compositions incorporating its HyDIFFUZETM platform. The company plans to pursue patent filings in individual overseas markets moving forward.
Huons Lab applied the HyDIFFUZE platform and assessed the pharmacokinetic properties for 11 antibody drugs: pembrolizumab, bevacizumab, obinutuzumab, ramucirumab, donanemab, isatuximab, durvalumab, dostarlimab, cetuximab, risankizumab, and dupilumab.
According to the results of non-clinical pharmacokinetic evaluation, the SC formulation group administered with HyDIFFUZE showed a maximum blood concentration for each antibody of approximately 113–170% and a drug exposure level (AUC) of about 117–162% compared to the SC formulation group without HyDIFFUZE.
Huons Lab believes that HyDIFFUZE can be applied to the SC formulation conversion of various antibody drugs, not limited to specific antibodies.
