20th Konu Cup Celebrity Baseball Tournament Kicks Off at Incheon Seonhak Baseball Stadium on the 31st
The 20th Konu Cup Hanstar Celebrity Baseball Tournament will kick off in spectacular fashion at Incheon Seonhak Baseball Stadium on August 31.
This year's tournament will feature a fierce battle for the championship trophy among a total of 10 celebrity baseball teams, including Gongnoriya, Bromance, Stars, Intermission, Jomajoma, Cheonhamujeok, Crusaders, BMB, P.O.M, and Albatross, competing in a knockout bracket format. Notably, as this marks the 20th anniversary of the event, the tournament will not only serve as a friendly competition but also double as qualifying games for the national team. Organizers expect the event to go beyond improving the performance of celebrity baseball players, becoming a significant venue that will expand the base of celebrity sports in Korea and foster international exchange.

The event is co-hosted by HanK Holdings and the Korea Celebrity Sports Association and organized by Hanstar Media Co., Ltd. It is sponsored by the offices of Song Younggil and Kim Namjoon, lawmakers from the Democratic Party of Korea, the Hankibum Hope Sharing Foundation, and Yeougome Channel. Choi Eunji, the winner of the Grand Prize at the 2020 Korea Hanbok Model Contest—also known as the "Hanbok Goddess"—has been appointed as the tournament's official ambassador. The opening match will be a showdown between "Bromance," led by manager Kim Kyungrok, and "Crusaders," led by general director Lim Ho. At the opening ceremony, visitors will be treated to special "sportainment" events. Additionally, 100 attendees at the opening ceremony will receive a 'Cosme Nuevo (premium functional mask pack)' provided by the sponsors.
