This exhibition is designed to allow citizens to experience media art throughout the city center by connecting a total of eight venues, including five privately-owned outdoor billboards within the Gwanghwamun Free Display Zone and three media platforms operated by Seoul City.

This marks the second consecutive year that Seoul City and Kiaf are jointly organizing a special media art exhibition. Notably, this year, artworks will be broadcast simultaneously at all eight locations, connecting them to form a single, large outdoor media art museum.

The exhibition will be held at five private outdoor billboards within the Gwanghwamun Free Display Zone—at KT Square (KT headquarters), K-Vision (Koreana Hotel), Lumi Media (Saekwang Building), Lux (Dong-a Ilbo), and Ilmin Museum of Art—as well as at three Seoul City media platforms: Atelier Nodeul, Atelier Gwanghwa, and the Haechimadang Media Wall.

The artworks will be broadcast daily for two minutes from 43 to 45 minutes past each hour, between 6 a.m. and midnight, at all participating locations. However, media facades at Atelier Nodeul and Atelier Gwanghwa will feature the works from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., taking sunset times into consideration.

Four artists, selected by Seoul City and the Korea Gallery Association, will participate in the special exhibition. Featured works include "Universe" by artist Park Jeseong, "Breath of Ink" by Euisu artist Seok Changwoo, "Birth of New Flowers" by artist Jeon Hyeju, and "Mirror Mask: Self Beyond the Boundary" by artist Han Seunggu. Each artwork lasts 30 seconds, with all four shown in succession for a total of two minutes.

Detailed information about the Media Art Seoul exhibition platforms can be found on the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Culture Portal, the city government’s official website, and on Instagram.

Choi Inkyu, Seoul City’s Design Policy Director, said, "We will continue to expand cooperation with various art events so that citizens can encounter media art in their daily lives and further develop this into K-culture and a cultural tourism content."
