Korean Local Government Officials’ Mutual-Aid Association Delivers Appreciation Gifts to Public Officials in Geoje and Tongyeong for Flood Recovery Efforts
The Korean Local Government Officials’ Mutual-Aid Association announced on August 28 that it had delivered bread, cookies, and other goods worth a total of 6 million won to public officials who participated in the recovery and support efforts in Geoje and Tongyeong, areas that suffered significant damage from heavy rainfall.
The Mutual-Aid Association was established to promote the stability and welfare of its members, including local government officials. A representative from the association stated, “We are preparing a variety of welfare events for the latter half of the year to encourage local government officials who sacrifice themselves for the public.”
