Hana Bank Recognized for Promoting Financial Literacy Education... Receives Minister of Education Award
Working with the Ministry of Education and the National Institute for Lifelong Education since 2023
Branches and Hana 50+ Culture Bank Used as Learning Centers
Hana Bank has been recognized for its contributions to promoting financial literacy education.
On August 28, Hana Bank announced that it received the Minister of Education Award at the “2026 Awards for Contributions to Literacy Education” held the previous day.
This awards ceremony was a key program of the “1st Korea Literacy Education Policy Exhibition,” which was organized to mark the 20th anniversary of literacy education support policies, share accomplishments to date, and discuss new directions for future development.
Since 2023, Hana Bank has been collaborating with the Ministry of Education and the National Institute for Lifelong Education. The bank has developed the “Digital Financial Literacy Textbook” and the educational application “Hana OneQ Guide,” supporting easy learning of financial terminology, banking services, and digital financial services.
In addition, the bank has continued to expand in-person learning opportunities by using its branches and senior-specialized stores, such as Hana 50+ Culture Bank, as learning centers for literacy learners. Learners can ask staff about banking tasks and financial transaction procedures they previously found difficult and receive explanations.
