KOSPI Falls 1% Early to 6,800 Level... KOSDAQ Slightly Weaker
The KOSPI fell by 1% in early trading. The KOSDAQ also edged down, showing a slightly weaker trend.

View original imageBy investor type, individuals recorded a net buying of 94.7 billion won, while foreign investors and institutions posted net selling of 82.9 billion won and 114.8 billion won, respectively.
Most sectors were on the decline. Pharmaceuticals (-3.75%), electric and gas utilities (-2.83%), and general services (-1.77%) were falling, while only five sectors, including IT services (+1.80%), chemicals (+1.79%), and telecommunications (+0.65%), showed gains.
Among the top 20 stocks by market capitalization, most were trading lower as well. Shares of Samsung BioLogics (-6.52%), Hanwha Aerospace (-2.78%), and SK Inc. (-2.70%) declined. In contrast, only five stocks, such as Samsung Electro-Mechanics (+2.02%), Samsung SDI (+0.53%), and Hyundai Motor (+0.38%), recorded gains.
The KOSDAQ was down 4.29 points (0.51%) at 833.36 compared to the previous day. After starting lower, the KOSDAQ seesawed between gains and losses and is currently showing a slight downward trend.
By investor type, individuals registered net buying of 68.8 billion won, while foreigners and institutions recorded net sales of 58.4 billion won and 11.0 billion won, respectively.
Most sectors were also on a downward trend. Non-metallic materials (-1.54%), medical precision devices (-1.15%), and financials (-1.09%) saw declines. In contrast, sectors such as telecommunications (+1.15%), IT services (+0.95%), and distribution (+0.73%) posted gains.

Among the top 20 KOSDAQ stocks by market capitalization, most were falling as well. Shares of Robotis (-3.73%), Rainbow Robotics (-2.65%), and Ecopro (-2.17%) declined, while Silicon Two (+4.58%), HPSP (+4.36%), and PharmaResearch (+3.35%) saw increases.
