Crit Ventures Invests in Korea Digital Platform, Developer of the Original TCG "Stacker Battle"
Crit Ventures has invested in Korea Digital Platform, the developer of the original trading card game (TCG) "Stacker Battle."
On the 28th, a representative of Crit Ventures stated, "Stacker Battle was designed to offer strategic gameplay through its own immersive universe, original characters, and game system, rather than relying on existing well-known intellectual properties (IP). Renowned illustrators participated to deliver a differentiated TCG experience," the representative explained.
Stacker Battle cards are produced entirely in Korea, and, unlike typical TCG products, use high-quality, highly durable paper. The product's completion level was enhanced by launching cards with full gold-foil finishing, among other improvements. Consideration was given not only to the gameplay, but also to the experience of physically owning and playing with the cards.
Since its release, the game has secured 27 official stores, swiftly establishing an offline play environment for its player base. Regular weekly tournaments are held to further grow the player community.
Based on this investment, Korea Digital Platform plans to further advance the content and product development of Stacker Battle. The company aims to continue its growth in the domestic TCG market while accelerating its expansion into global markets. There are also plans to develop and launch a mobile game in the future.
A representative from Korea Digital Platform stated, "Rather than relying on the recognition of famous IPs, our goal is to have players choose our game for its intrinsic fun, unique universe, and high-quality art and product finish. We will further strengthen our competitiveness in the domestic market and continue to grow the Stacker Battle IP into competitive content for the global market."
