The Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation has provided a forum for scholarship recipients to strengthen their sense of community and support their growth.
The Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation announced on August 28 that it held the '2026 Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Scholarship Summer Camp' at Konjiam Resort in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, for three days and two nights from August 26 to 28.
About 130 scholarship recipients from various backgrounds and fields, including global, science and technology, culture and arts, Heroes, and social integration programs—representing diverse nationalities—participated in the camp to interact and share experiences.
In addition to providing scholarships, the Foundation also runs a fellowship program so that recipients can gain a breadth of experience, learn from one another, and grow together. This year's camp, themed 'Findings for the Leap,' was designed to help participants discover their strengths and capabilities while exchanging experiences and perspectives. The participants took part in a range of interactive programs, including special lectures by invited speakers, a career vision board workshop, student-led workshop classes, and various activities.
On the first day, Dongseon Jang, CEO of the Curious Brain Institute, delivered a keynote lecture titled 'How to Find My Path Amid Uncertainty,' discussing the importance of understanding one's current position, setting goals, and the process of moving forward. He emphasized the value of self-determination and shared a proactive perspective on designing one's future.
On the second day, the camp featured a career vision board workshop aimed at visualizing future goals, along with student-led workshop classes. These included three programs: a 'Hand Drip Coffee One-Day Class,' 'Create Your Own Signature Perfume,' and 'Discovering Uzbekistan,' providing opportunities to share interests and cultures. On the third day, the camp concluded with a review session looking back at participants' activities through photos and videos.
Useinova Nilufar, a recipient of the newly launched Global Scholarship for Korean Language Teachers from Uzbekistan, shared, "Participating in my first summer camp in Korea, I was deeply impressed by the opportunity to meet fellow scholarship recipients from different majors and backgrounds, and to share our dreams and interests. I am looking forward even more to my life in Korea."
