View original imageOn August 27, Korea Financial Holdings announced that its two subsidiary asset management companies convened their respective board meetings on the same day and approved the signing of the split-merger agreement.
As a result, Korea Investment Management will spin off its securities fund and money market fund (MMF) business divisions and merge them into Korea Investment Value Asset Management.
The effective date of the split-merger is January 1 of next year.
The two asset management companies plan to hold an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders on September 11 to approve the split-merger.

Korea Financial Holdings stated, "Prior to the split-merger, both Korea Investment Management and Korea Investment Value Asset Management are wholly owned subsidiaries of Korea Investment & Securities, and this status will remain unchanged even after the split-merger."
