Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Jeong Deok-young) announced on August 27 that applications for the third quarter of the 2026 Youth Basic Income program will be accepted from September 1 to October 2.

View original imageEligible applicants are those whose resident registration is in Yangju City and who were born between July 2, 2001, and July 1, 2002. Applicants must also have either continuously resided in Gyeonggi Province for the past three years, or have a total period of residence in Gyeonggi Province of at least ten years when combined.
Selected youth will receive 250,000 won per quarter, with a maximum of 1 million won per year, through the Yangju Sarang Card, regardless of their employment, income, or enrollment status. Recipients of basic livelihood security benefits can choose to receive the payment as a lump sum rather than in quarterly installments.
Applications must be submitted through the Gyeonggi-do job platform “Jobaba” website. Applicants are required to attach a copy of their resident registration (issued during the application period). If applicants use the MyData service, the necessary documents can be submitted automatically. Basic livelihood security recipients must also submit a certificate of beneficiary status.
Notably, from the third quarter of this year, the automatic application function has been discontinued, so previous recipients must reapply each quarter.
