More than 100 domestic and international companies and organizations related to aerospace and defense industries are expected to participate in the industrial exhibition. The event will provide a networking space for related companies, overseas buyers, and other stakeholders to share the latest industry trends and technologies.
Regarding the recruitment of program entries and participating companies, the committee conducted a review and selection process based on applications received since May 26 and has finalized the participation of 65 companies.
Facilities to enhance convenience for visitors will also be improved. Souvenir shops and food trucks will be expanded, along with additional amenities to increase the comfort and usability of the event venue.
There will be experience programs specifically designed for families. Activities utilizing new technologies such as VR, AR, and robots, as well as performances and event programs, will be provided to boost visitor interest and engagement in the fields of aviation and space.
Transportation measures will be further reinforced. To address the anticipated rise in traffic and parking shortages during the event period, shuttle bus operations will be increased and additional parking spaces such as temporary venues at the aviation MRO area will be secured. Some sections near the event venue will be converted to one-way traffic to manage the flow of vehicles.
Safety management was also identified as a major area of focus. The committee will implement a visitor registration system inside the event venue, conduct preliminary inspections of facilities and programs by category, and deploy dedicated on-site safety personnel during the event to prevent and respond to any potential accidents.
Kim Jehong, Chair of the Sacheon Airshow Promotion Committee, stated, "It is necessary to thoroughly check preparedness in each major area to ensure the successful hosting of the 2026 Sacheon Airshow," and added, "We will do our utmost to expand industry and technology exchange while ensuring that citizens and visitors can enjoy the event safely."
Meanwhile, the 2026 Sacheon Airshow will be organized to link the industrial exhibition with aviation and space experiences, performances, and visitor participation programs. The detailed event schedule and programs will be finalized following future preparation procedures.
