Jeong Jeom-sik, floor leader of the People Power Party, stated on August 27, "The past year under the Lee Jae-myung administration has been a year of destruction and dismantling," adding, "The people have begun to recognize the incompetence and ugliness of the Lee Jae-myung regime, and this is being directly reflected in its approval ratings in public opinion polls."
On this day, Floor Leader Jeong attended the People Power Party lawmakers' retreat held at a hotel in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, and said, "(The Lee Jae-myung administration) tramples on proven market principles with ideologically biased economic policies, undermines the Constitution through the legislative rampage of the massive ruling party, destroys national unity by provoking political special investigations and accusations of rebellion, and dismantles the ROK-U.S. alliance and national security. No matter how much perfume is sprayed, the stench of rot cannot be concealed," he declared.
Regarding the party's operational plan for the latter half of the year, Floor Leader Jeong said, "During the regular National Assembly session, we must thoroughly verify and expose the true nature of the destruction and dismantling perpetrated by the Lee Jae-myung regime," and added, "As the opposition party, we must point out in detail what has gone wrong in each field through each standing committee and propose concrete alternatives."

In particular, Floor Leader Jeong emphasized, "Please pay special attention to issues directly linked to the people's assets, such as real estate and stocks," stressing that "the rushed introduction of single-stock leveraged ETFs and the controversy over mobilizing the National Pension Fund to prop up stock prices must be fully investigated in this year's parliamentary audit." He added, "The current real estate situation is very unfavorable, heightening public anxiety. We must be able to present clear alternatives, including tax reform plans and housing supply measures."
