'Triple Transportation Benefits' Spotlight on Bucheon Daejang District: 'Bucheon Daejang Howstory Decent' in Focus

Major transportation upgrades bring Seoul closer than ever
In the Seoul metropolitan real estate market, transportation networks continue to be regarded as the most powerful factor driving value appreciation.
According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and industry sources, in the second half of this year, the extension of the GTX-A line between Seoul Station and Suseo Station will open, with the route planned for further phase-by-phase expansion. As a result, real estate buyers are focusing their attention on areas near new transportation networks that are expected to significantly improve accessibility to central Seoul.
Amid these developments, the Daehong Line (Daehongseon) passing through Bucheon Daejang New Town, along with the planned GTX-D line, is drawing attention. The Daehong Line is a metropolitan railway route starting from Bucheon Daejang New Town, connecting northern Bucheon, Seoul's Gangseo District, and Yangcheon District, and stretching approximately 20 kilometers with 12 stations, reaching Digital Media City (DMC) and Hongdae Entrance Station (Hongdae-ipgu Station). By directly linking northern Bucheon and the Gangseo-Yangcheon area—previously considered underserved by rail networks—to Hongdae Entrance Station, one of Seoul's major commercial hubs, the route is expected to dramatically improve accessibility to the northwestern part of Seoul. Furthermore, if GTX-D (planned), which is projected to pass through Seoul’s main business districts, is also realized, the Bucheon Daejang district, the starting point of the Daehong Line, is expected to benefit from both routes simultaneously.
Such transportation-related opportunities tend to affect regional value not only upon actual completion but from the initial stages—after a route is confirmed and construction begins. Recently, Seoul's Mapo District opened a road management review committee and approved back-to-back agenda items for Sangam and Seongsan stations on the Daehong Line, indicating real progress at the Seoul entry section of the project, which in turn is expected to increase interest in Bucheon Daejang district as the project becomes more concrete.
A real estate industry insider commented, "The fact that a line directly connecting northern Bucheon and southwestern Seoul previously underserved by rail has now entered actual section-by-section construction means that the Daehong Line is no longer just a beneficiary at the planning stage. If GTX-D is added, accessibility to Seoul's major business districts will be further enhanced, making Bucheon Daejang district—the starting point of the Daehong Line—the location expected to gain the earliest and the most significant indirect benefits."
It is expected that expanding the dense metropolitan transportation network will not only offset concerns about possible infrastructure shortages during the early move-in period, but—in tandem with the creation of advanced industrial complexes—will also strengthen the proximity of housing to workplaces, driving long-term regional value growth.
Against this backdrop, 'Bucheon Daejang Howstory Decent,' introduced by the LH and Namkwang Construction consortium in Bucheon Daejang Public Housing District, is garnering attention as a complex benefiting from multiple transportation advancements simultaneously.
Located in the Bucheon Daejang district, the complex enjoys triple transportation advantages—not only as the starting point of the Daehong Line and the planned GTX-D, but also by housing the forthcoming S-BRT line connecting Bucheon Sports Complex Station to Gimpo Airport. Nearby, the Bucheon Daejang No. 1 Urban High-Tech Industrial Complex, which will be home to major companies such as SK Greentechno Campus (planned), Korean Air, and DN Solutions, is expected to further leverage the benefits of proximity between residential space and workplaces thanks to improved transport networks.
'Bucheon Daejang Howstory Decent' consists of a total of 548 units (59A, 59B, 59C, 74A, 84A m²) as a public sales complex, with the project promoted by LH and Namkwang Construction consortium and constructed by the Namkwang Construction consortium. The complex is located in a premium educational area within walking distance of proposed sites for kindergartens, elementary, middle, and high schools and will be part of the Howstory brand town, encompassing a combined total of 5,280 units from Bucheon to Incheon Gyeyang.
Previously, the 'Yeokgok District Howstory' newlywed housing town supplied in Yeokgok District, Bucheon, proved the brand’s reliability by achieving an average competition rate of 9.8 to 1 in the main subscription, raising expectations for this follow-up complex as well.
