Samsung Electronics has officially unveiled its new product, the 'Galaxy S26 FE,' on August 27. The device features the latest Galaxy artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and premium camera performance.
This launch comes just one week after the announcement of a new model in the Galaxy S26 series. The Fan Edition (FE) is a quasi-premium lineup that provides key features of the flagship S series while offering a relatively lower price by reducing certain specifications.
The 'Galaxy S26 FE' is designed to deliver a more natural and high-quality camera experience, from shooting to editing. The standout feature is 'My Fan Cam,' which automatically tracks a user-selected subject and edits videos to center that person, making it easy to capture dynamic moments. It also supports features such as 'Super Steady' for horizon stabilization during video recording and 'Nightography,' which brings rich colors even in low-light conditions.
The camera performance has also been enhanced. The rear features a triple camera system with 3x optical zoom, and the front camera has been upgraded to 12 megapixels for more reliable group selfies. After shooting, the 'Photo Assist' function enables users to change backgrounds or blend images from the gallery into a photo using natural language input. Edit histories are saved, allowing for consecutive edits and step-by-step restoration.
Additionally, the device comes equipped with a range of customizable AI features based on One UI 9, designed to understand the user’s daily life and context, thereby improving work efficiency. The newly introduced 'Now Brief' provides at-a-glance information on weather, health, traffic, and more, compiling personalized briefing cards based on natural language input. A new 'Now Nudge' feature suggests the next action by recognizing the current situation. The 'Circle to Search' function has evolved, enabling users to search for multiple objects such as products, locations, or items in an image simply by drawing a circle on the screen.
From a hardware perspective, the phone maintains a thin and lightweight design while increasing battery capacity to 4,900mAh. It supports fast charging, reaching up to 69% in just 30 minutes. The display adopts a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with up to a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering bright and vivid visuals for videos and games.
Data transfer has also become easier. With the upgraded 'Smart Switch,' users can transfer passwords, passkeys, call records, accessibility settings, eSIM information, and more to a new device simply by scanning a QR code, without installing a separate application. After-sales support guarantees up to seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates.
The 'Galaxy S26 FE' will be released sequentially in major global markets—including Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Thailand—starting from September 4. It will be available in three colors: Blueberry, Graphite, and Pistachio. The price for the 256GB storage model is 1,045,000 won.
Samsung Electronics will launch the 'New Galaxy AI Subscription Club' program for domestic unlocked model buyers, guaranteeing up to 50% residual value from the release date. This service, available for 6,900 won per month (1 or 2-year plans) and 8,900 won per month (3-year plan), ensures up to 50% residual value upon device trade-in. Additionally, all subscribers receive compensation for cyber financial crime losses up to 3 million won and direct transaction fraud up to 500,000 won. All 'Galaxy S26 FE' buyers will also be given a six-month Google AI Pro subscription, a two-month Wela subscription, and a 30% discount coupon for accessories.
