Daedong announced on August 27 that it has launched its new combine harvester, the 'DSF85', which is specialized for soybean harvesting.
The new 'DSF85' puts a strong emphasis on enhancing the key functions across the entire soybean harvesting process, from reaping and transporting to threshing and sorting. It minimizes the loss of soybeans during transportation, and reduces impacts on the beans during threshing, while gradually filtering out soil, stems, leaves, and other foreign materials.
Work stability and continuity have also been improved. If soybean stems or crops get clogged in the reaping or transporting units during harvesting, an operator can quickly discharge them using the reverse rotation function from the driver’s seat, which helps reduce delays caused by blockages. In addition, the forward, backward, left, and right automatic leveling functions help maintain the machine’s horizontal balance even on sloped fields, ensuring stable operation.

Daedong reflected the needs of soybean harvesting sites in the development of the new 'DSF85' and plans to further enhance product quality based on demands identified in the field. Gam Byung-woo, Head of Development at Daedong, stated, "As agricultural environments and cultivation methods rapidly change, it is becoming increasingly important for agricultural machinery to not only deliver operational efficiency, but also to respond precisely to crops and field conditions. By reading changes in the field ahead of time and applying them to our products and technologies, we will ensure that farmers can clearly notice the difference in their actual work outcomes."
