Dynamic Solution Joins as Founding Member of "BCI Alliance" ... Accelerates AI and Robotics Convergence Business
Dynamic Solution is joining a public-private partnership as a founding member to foster the brain-computer interface (BCI) industry at the national level, thereby accelerating the commercialization of BCI technologies. The company's strategy is to combine its proprietary BCI and robotics technologies with artificial intelligence (AI), mobility, healthcare, electronic components, and other fields to develop new business models.
On August 27, Dynamic Solution announced its participation as a founding member of the "BCI Alliance," an initiative led by the Ministry of Science and ICT. The company will collaborate with participating companies on joint research and development, technology verification (proof of concept), and commercialization efforts.
The BCI Alliance is a consortium established to strengthen collaboration among industry, academia, research institutions, and healthcare providers within Korea’s BCI sector. Its goal is to accelerate the commercialization of BCI technology at the national level and expand the industry ecosystem through joint R&D, technology transfer, policy development, and standardization across various domains.
BCI is a technology that utilizes signals generated in the brain to enable direct interaction between humans and external devices such as AI systems or robots. Its potential extends beyond healthcare, with convergence opportunities in robotics, AI, mobility, and electronic components, making it a next-generation technology of significant interest.
With this participation in the alliance, Dynamic Solution plans to integrate its BCI and robotics technologies with AI, electronic components, mobility, and healthcare technologies from other participating companies. The company intends to go beyond simple technology exchange by building a cooperative model that covers everything from joint R&D to technology verification, application in products and services, and full commercialization.
Particularly, with companies from a wide range of industries joining the alliance, Dynamic Solution aims to identify extensive business opportunities to apply BCI technology to actual industrial settings involving AI devices, robotics, mobility, electronic components, and semiconductors.
The company will also strengthen its collaboration with research and medical institutions. Dynamic Solution envisions serving as a bridge between the foundational BCI technologies and research or clinical results developed by organizations such as the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), as well as the industrial sector’s product development and commercialization capabilities.
Through these efforts, the company intends to connect BCI technologies that are still at the research stage with real products and services, thereby accelerating their commercialization.
On August 26, the inaugural ceremony of the BCI Alliance was held at The Plaza Hotel in Seoul. The event was hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and co-organized by the Korea BCI Association, Korea Brain Research Institute, and Ybrain. Kim Sungsoo, policy chief of R&D at the Ministry of Science and ICT, attended the ceremony and expressed the government’s commitment to supporting the activation of Korea's BCI industry ecosystem.
The Korea BCI Association, which participated in the launch of the BCI Alliance, laid the foundation for industry-academia-research-medical collaboration by naming Baek Namjong, director of Seoul National University Hospital, as its first president in June.
Through its participation in the alliance, Dynamic Solution also plans to expand joint business opportunities aligned with the government’s BCI industry promotion policies. The company anticipates that as BCI technology extends beyond healthcare into broader industries such as AI and robotics, the market potential for its BCI and robotics technologies will expand accordingly.
Baek Myunghoon, CEO of Dynamic Solution, stated, "For BCI technologies to move beyond the R&D phase and rapidly expand into real industries and markets, strong collaboration among companies, medical institutions, and research organizations is essential. We will strengthen technological cooperation with alliance participants and actively pursue joint business opportunities to develop commercialization models where BCI technology translates into real products and commercial services."
