This initiative is run by the Korea Population, Health and Welfare Association in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Welfare, with the aim of encouraging breastfeeding and creating a birth-friendly environment.
The newly installed "Happy Room with Baby" No. 1160 is a family-friendly space designed to allow employees to breastfeed and express milk comfortably and safely. Breast pumps, nursing pads, breast milk storage bags, and other necessary items are also provided to ensure greater convenience for users.
A Lotte Insurance representative said, "We have consistently worked to create a family-friendly work environment by operating a mandatory paternity leave system for men and running an on-site daycare center," adding, "With this installation of the breastfeeding room, we will further develop an organizational culture that supports work-life balance for our employees."
A representative from the Seoul branch said, "We hope that the 'Happy Room with Baby' established together with Lotte Insurance helps ease the childcare burden for employees and contributes to creating a family-friendly work environment," adding, "We will continue to work with companies to promote a breastfeeding-friendly environment in the future."
