Samsung Active Asset Management Pays First Monthly Distribution for KoAct High Dividend Active ETF
A high-dividend Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) that combines the inclusion of high-yield stocks with an active asset allocation strategy—pursuing both capital gains and monthly cash flow—has declared its first monthly distribution since its listing.
On August 27, Samsung Active Asset Management announced that the 'KoAct High Dividend Active' ETF will pay its first dividend since listing, distributing 85 won per share (total payout rate of approximately 0.8%). The distribution will be paid on September 2 to investors who have purchased shares by the end of today.
This product does not simply invest in companies with a high dividend yield; instead, it employs an active strategy to selectively include 'potential high-dividend stocks'—companies expected to achieve future earnings growth and expand shareholder returns. By actively assessing real-time forward-looking dividend yields, the ETF reduces its holdings in companies with earnings risk and increases allocations to companies where dividend momentum is strengthening, thereby seeking both trading gains and dividend income. Key portfolio holdings include Hyundai Elevator (7.4%), GS (5.9%), DB Insurance (4.7%), and JB Financial Group (4.5%).
Since its listing on July 28, the ETF has posted a return of 6.78%. Amid recent increased market volatility, net purchases by individual investors have reached 2.18 billion won, reflecting inflows from investors seeking stable cash flow. The total expense ratio is 0.5% per year.

Nam Eunyeong, a manager at Samsung Active Asset Management, stated, "As fatigue from growth stock volatility increases, undervalued dividend stocks are expected to become more attractive in the second half of the year. Rather than focusing on index or specific sector investing, an active strategy that selectively invests in promising stocks based on each company's earnings, dividend payout policy, and dividend yield will become increasingly important."
