Maniker F&G Showcases 'K-Dakgangjeong' at Hong Kong Food Expo, Anticipates Export Expansion
Maniker F&G is accelerating its global market strategy by participating in the Hong Kong Food Expo, placing K-Chicken at the forefront. In particular, major products such as Dakgangjeong (Korean Sweet Crispy Chicken) have continued to attract interest from overseas buyers, raising expectations for expanded export channels.
On August 27, Maniker F&G announced that it participated for the first time in the '2026 HKTDC Hong Kong Food Expo,' held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from August 13 to August 15.
At this expo, Maniker F&G showcased its leading export products—Dakgangjeong, Chicken Breast Steak, and Samgyetang—under the theme 'TASTE OF WONDER, K-FOOD.'
Dakgangjeong, in particular, drew special attention from international buyers. Thanks to the distinctive flavor of Korean-style chicken and the convenience of enjoying it easily, the company received numerous product inquiries and export consultations on site.
This event, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), included not only the Hong Kong Food Expo but a total of five exhibitions held simultaneously. More than 1,850 companies from over 30 countries and regions participated, and total attendance surpassed 520,000, marking a record high.
Maniker F&G stated that, since it was able to directly gauge international consumers’ and buyers’ enthusiasm for K-Food through this participation, it plans to further expand exports by discovering new markets and distribution channels.
A company representative said, "We confirmed strong interest from overseas buyers in our K-Chicken products at this expo. We will continue to actively develop new markets and distribution channels to accelerate export expansion."
To date, Maniker F&G has expanded its export markets to the United States, Canada, the European Union (EU), and the United Kingdom. Recently, by exporting frozen processed chicken products such as Dakgangjeong and Chicken Breast Steak to the UK market, the company has been strengthening its overseas business portfolio.
In particular, Dakgangjeong is evaluated as having the potential to become a major growth engine for exports, given the rising global interest in Korean-style chicken alongside the spread of Korean cultural content and the opportunity to expand into international distribution networks as a ready-to-eat meal.
