On August 27, Shinsegae Department Store announced that it will hold its largest annual liquor event, "Vin de Shinsegae," offering discounts of up to 80% until September 3. This year, the event has expanded its product lineup to include not only wine, but also sake, whisky, and non-alcoholic beverages.
This event will showcase a wide selection of products, ranging from rare fine wines and whiskies to sake and non-alcoholic drinks. Featured items include "Dom Perignon P2 2003" (790,000 won), "Chateau Montrose 2001" (390,000 won), "Ippaku Suisei Sunday Back Nine" sake (71,000 won), and "Pierre Chavin Signature Non-Alcohol" (21,900 won).
A program for learning about and enjoying wine has also been prepared. On August 28 and 29, at the Gangnam branch and the main House of Shinsegae Wine Cellar, Jeannie Cho Lee MW, Asia’s first Master of Wine, has been invited to hold the "Burgundy Master Class." The class will include a comparative tasting of six white Burgundy wines focused on the 2018 and 2019 vintages, exploring their unique characteristics and aging potential.
At the Gangnam branch, a wine pairing showcase will be held in collaboration with the department store's restaurants. Customers who purchase wine will receive benefits such as free corkage, Riedel wine glasses, and additional menu items.
