Doosan Enerbility Sends CEO Jung Yeonin to Nepal Flood Site as Five Employees Remain Missing
15 Out of 20 Korean Employees Were at the Site During the Disaster
Emergency Task Force Activated to Assess the Situation
Doosan Enerbility announced on August 26 that it has immediately dispatched CEO Jung Yeonin to Nepal and established an emergency response task force to manage the situation following the recent flood in the country.
Regarding the accident at a local hydropower plant caused by the flood in Nepal, Doosan Enerbility stated, "At approximately 9:30 a.m. (local time) on August 26, a large-scale flood occurred in the Rasuwa region of Nepal, and as a result, we have lost contact with some employees at the Upper Trishuli-1 hydropower plant construction site, where our company is executing Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) work."
According to Doosan Enerbility, there are a total of 20 Korean employees assigned to the site. Of the 15 who were present at the site at the time of the disaster, 5 are still unaccounted for as of now.

The company explained, “In order to quickly assess the situation and manage the aftermath, we have formed an emergency response task force and plan to urgently dispatch an on-site response team led by CEO Jung Yeonin. We will make every effort to support the search and rescue of the missing employees by cooperating closely with relevant authorities and project stakeholders.”
