According to the prosecution, after injecting methamphetamine, A was charged with stabbing a woman in her 50s, B—an acquaintance—dozens of times in the neck and side and killing her at an officetel in Suyu-dong, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, on the 27th of last month. He then stole cash belonging to B.
Investigations revealed that A, who was in a financially difficult situation, decided to steal valuables from B, knowing that she typically kept large amounts of cash. He prepared for the crime beforehand by searching for items such as handcuffs and restraints, then entered B's officetel armed with a weapon.
Previously, when A was arrested by police on the 28th of last month, substances suspected of being narcotics were found in his vehicle and bag; subsequent field drug tests and the National Forensic Service's analysis detected methamphetamine and cannabis.
