He added, "The very first thing I did after joining Hyundai Motor Company on February 23 was to check the current situation and quickly correct any misguided directions," and elaborated, "I contemplated which sensors would allow us to achieve autonomous driving and future scalability without any obstacles."
Director Park emphasized, "The same software, digital hardware, and integrated controllers are already being used in the Gwangju Autonomous Driving Demonstration Project. Through this experience, vehicles rolling out at the end of 2027 will incorporate these components in a more refined and well-practiced state."
Regarding the reason for carrying on the Atria artificial intelligence (AI) developed under the previous CEO system at Forty2Dot, he said, "It is not simply about adopting Atria AI as it is, but rather passing it on by supplementing its shortcomings."
Additionally, Director Park addressed concerns that the pace of acquiring autonomous driving data is slower than competitors by stating, "By installing as many standardized sensors as possible in vehicles mass-produced from 2028, we expect to gather vastly more cumulative data than our competitors. Many employees are working to ensure that as many vehicles as possible are equipped with standardized sensors. There will be opportunities in the future to present specific figures as well."

Questions were also raised regarding Hyundai Motor Group’s robotics strategy. Jose Munoz, CEO and President of Hyundai Motor Company, responded to an inquiry about whether all robotics business activities are conducted through subsidiaries since robotics has not been added to the business purposes in the articles of incorporation. He explained, "Hyundai Motor Company is not an operator of robotics but rather a supporter of robotics."
He continued, "At present, since the company operates as a separate entity, we are providing support for quality capabilities, durability, reliability, and cost management together."
