Netflix to Produce "Halmae"
Kim Muyeol, Heo Junho, Choi Seongeun Join Cast
On August 26, Netflix announced that actors Lee Jeungeun, Kim Muyeol, Heo Junho, and Choi Seongeun will star in its upcoming series "Halmae."
The series is a noir action drama depicting Jeong Sukja, who picks up a gun for her grandson, and Seo Yeonwoo, who rekindles her hunting instincts, as they take revenge against the Cheonghwa crime syndicate. The story centers on a woman in her seventies seeking vengeance for her grandson, with suspense heightened by unexpected plot twists as secrets within the crime organization are gradually revealed.
Jeong Sukja will be played by Lee Jeungeun. The character, who works alone at a restaurant and raised her grandson by herself, takes up a gun from her childhood days to seek revenge when her grandson’s life is endangered by a mysterious raid. Kim Muyeol will play Seo Yeonwoo, Heo Junho will portray Jang Gwangcheol, chairman of Cheonghwa Group, and Choi Seongeun will take on the role of Shin Jihyeon, head of Cheonghwa Group's China branch. In addition, Bae Nara, Seo Hyeonwoo, and Moon Jongwon will appear, injecting further energy into the drama.
