Daewoong Pharmaceutical Selected as Partner Company for Seoul's "Blood Sugar Catch 9988" Initiative
"A Meaningful Contribution to Improving the Health of Seoul Citizens"
On August 26, Daewoong Pharmaceutical announced that it has been selected as a collaborative partner for “Blood Sugar Catch 9988,” the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s citizen blood glucose management support project, and will provide continuous glucose monitors (CGM) and lifestyle management services to Seoul residents who require blood sugar management.
Blood Sugar Catch 9988 is a project targeting 1,000 citizens who have been identified as being in the pre-diabetes stage through metabolic syndrome testing at local public health centers. Citizens can participate in the program by linking their metabolic syndrome test results from each district’s health center with the Seoul public health management platform “Wrist Doctor 9988.”

By using Daewoong Group’s blood sugar-based metabolic health management platform “Welda,” participants can more easily understand their blood glucose data and apply it to improve their lifestyle habits.
Welda clearly visualizes continuous glucose monitoring data and provides users with step-by-step guides and relevant content, helping them review their dietary and activity patterns and practice healthy habits.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government, in cooperation with the 25 local district public health centers, will establish a support and guidance system for the project. Daewoong Pharmaceutical will provide training to health center staff, offer device usage manuals, and supply counseling guides. Participants will be given the necessary instructions depending on whether they visit the health center or apply the device themselves.
