A Chinese student in their 20s who had gone missing in Daegu on August 20 was found dead six days after their disappearance.
The Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency announced on August 25 that they had apprehended a man in his 30s, identified as Mr. B, on suspicion of murder in connection with the death of the 25-year-old victim, Mr. A.
According to the police, at around 7:29 p.m. on August 25, they executed an arrest warrant for Mr. B in Gyeongsan and found Mr. A’s body at Mr. B’s residence in Hayang-eup, Gyeongsan.
Mr. A lost contact with his family after moving to Daegu on the night of August 20. His last known whereabouts were confirmed to be Dongdaegu Station. While tracing Mr. A’s movements, police detected signs of foul play and identified Mr. B as the suspect.
