LABLUP Files Securities Registration...Pursues KOSDAQ Listing with AI Infrastructure Resource Efficiency Technology
AI infrastructure management and operations software company LABLUP has submitted its securities registration statement and officially begun the process for listing on KOSDAQ. The company aims to expand its presence in the AI infrastructure market by leveraging its technology for the efficient allocation and management of high-priced GPUs, NPUs, and other AI accelerators.
LABLUP announced on the 25th that it has filed a securities registration statement with the Financial Services Commission and has begun the public offering process for its initial public offering (IPO).
The total number of shares being offered is 2.18 million, with the desired offering price set between 20,000 won and 23,000 won per share. Accordingly, the size of the public offering will range from 21.8 billion won to a maximum of 23.0 billion won. The amount to be raised is 43.6 billion won to a maximum of 50.1 billion won. Bookbuilding for institutional investors will be held from September 28 to October 2, and public subscriptions will take place from October 12 to 13. The lead underwriter is NH Investment & Securities.
Founded in 2015, LABLUP develops AI infrastructure management and operations software that enhances the utilization efficiency of high-performance computing resources such as GPUs. Its flagship product, Backend.AI, is a solution that allows integration and unified management of GPUs and AI accelerators required for AI model development, training, deployment, and operation on a single platform.
In particular, LABLUP highlights its proprietary GPU partitioning virtualization technology as a key competitive advantage. By dividing high-priced GPUs into individual work units, multiple users can utilize the resources simultaneously, thereby reducing idle resources and maximizing GPU utilization.
In actual deployment cases, GPU utilization has increased from the previous 30% to 85%, an improvement of approximately 55 percentage points. The company explained that, rather than simply acquiring additional GPUs, it has secured a competitive edge by focusing on how efficiently existing AI infrastructure is used in the changing market environment.
The company has also gained experience in large-scale AI infrastructure operations. LABLUP participated as the infrastructure partner of the Upstage consortium in the government's "Independent AI Foundation Model Project," supporting the operation of GPU clusters of around 500 units for the first phase and about 880 units for the second phase. With its entry into the third phase, LABLUP demonstrated its capability to operate a GPU environment of more than 1,000 units.
Compatibility with hardware and various operating environments is cited as another strength. Backend.AI supports not only major GPUs such as NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel but also domestic and international NPUs, and it can operate on a range of infrastructures, including on-premises, public cloud, and hybrid environments.
The company's business model is not limited to one-time deployments. LABLUP supplies Backend.AI under a subscription-based licensing model, enabling a recurring revenue structure as clients expand their GPU installations or increase their use of AI.
Currently, Backend.AI is deployed at more than 120 sites in Korea and internationally. Major clients include Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Mobis, KT, KT Cloud, Shinhan Bank, LIG D&A, Samsung Medical Center, Korea Internet & Security Agency, and the Artificial Intelligence Industry Convergence Project Group. The company has also established a customer base in overseas markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Brazil, and Thailand.
The company's financial performance is also showing growth. LABLUP's revenue more than doubled in two years, rising from 3.0 billion won in 2023 to 6.7 billion won in 2025. The company also posted operating profit for two consecutive years in 2024 and 2025.
LABLUP plans to use the funds raised from this IPO for advanced research and development, global market expansion, and the enhancement of AI infrastructure. In particular, the company will expand the support scope of Backend.AI to adapt to a diversifying AI accelerator ecosystem that is shifting from GPU-only to including NPUs and other units. LABLUP intends to strengthen its presence in overseas markets, including North America, Japan, Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
