"Hyundai Motor Best Positioned for Humanoids... Benefits from Excluding Chinese Products"[Click e-Stock]
On August 26, IBK Investment & Securities evaluated Hyundai Motor Company, stating that the company has secured both manufacturing sites where robots can be practically applied and a non-Chinese production base. The firm maintained its target price of 6.7 million won and a 'Buy' investment rating.
Seunghoon Lee, an analyst at IBK Investment & Securities, stated in a report on this day, "The key investment points for Hyundai Motor Company are the development of robots and establishment of mass production systems through Boston Dynamics and Robotics America, as well as the potential benefits from the restructuring of the U.S. robot supply chain away from China."
He added, "The U.S. humanoid robot market is expected to be reshaped around companies capable of local production that exclude Chinese-made products. Hyundai Motor Group is building an 'end-to-end industrial platform' by combining Boston Dynamics' technology, Meta Plant America's manufacturing sites, Hyundai Mobis' key components, and Hyundai Glovis' logistics capabilities."
Hyundai Motor Group plans to expand sales not only to meet its internal demand but also to other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) through the newly established Robotics America. Following the commencement of Robot Meta Application Center (RMAC) operations in August of this year, the company will collect, train, validate, and simulate based on real work data. After a pilot in 2027, it plans to deploy the humanoid robot "Atlas" starting in 2028.
