Korea Securities Depository Officially Sponsors the 31st Busan International Film Festival
The Korea Securities Depository will sponsor the 31st Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) with a total of 50 million won.
According to the Korea Securities Depository on August 25, this sponsorship aims to support the successful hosting of the Busan International Film Festival, enhance Busan's international status, and contribute to revitalizing the local culture, tourism industry, and economy by attracting domestic and international tourists.
In addition to supporting the Busan International Film Festival, the Korea Securities Depository continues to promote mutual growth with the local community through various social contribution initiatives, such as supporting culture and the arts in the Busan area, nurturing future talent, and assisting vulnerable groups.
In particular, the organization is engaged in donation activities to support cultural and artistic experiences for children and youth from underprivileged backgrounds in Busan, provides scholarships to local IT and business-related university students, and runs programs to help young adults prepare for independence.
Park Kwansu, Chairman of the Busan International Film Festival, stated, "This agreement is an opportunity to share the achievements of our long-standing partnership with the Korea Securities Depository, and we will continue our efforts to ensure the Busan International Film Festival is recognized for its international value."
