On August 25, Gwangsan District, located in the Gwangju-Jeonnam Unified Special City, announced that it will hold the '4th Gwangsan MusicON Festival' at Hwangryong Riverside Park over two days, from September 19. This year's festival theme is 'Gwangsan, the Connected City, Connected Through Music.'
On the first day, September 19, the lineup will feature rock band Jaurim, as well as Dragon Pony, Kyungseo, Hype Princess, and 2BiC. Following the opening ceremony, a fireworks display will illuminate the night sky at Hwangryong Riverside Park.
On September 20, hip-hop duo Dynamic Duo, punk rock band No Brain, city pop band Adoy, Gongwon, and SYNSE will perform on stage.
This year, the festival will operate a standing area with a capacity of 1,500 people. A picnic area will also be set up on the lawn, allowing attendees to enjoy both a picnic and the performances. All seats are free of charge, but separate tickets are required to enter the standing area. Tickets will be available through pre-reservation via Naver Form and distribution at the venue.
The festival grounds will also feature horseback riding experiences and a 'Family Board Café', a board game space designed for families. In addition, there will be street performances, citizen performances, a flea market, a food zone, and the 'Together Lounge.'
Prior to the festival, Gwangsan District is holding an SNS participation event, 'GatigaON', until September 12. To participate, follow the official festival Instagram account, tag five friends in the event post comments who you'd like to attend with, and then verify your participation through Naver Form. A drawing will be held to select 150 participants, each of whom will receive a mobile coffee voucher worth 10,000 won.
