Samsung Card announced on the 25th that it had signed a business agreement on the 24th with Korea Expressway Corporation to support safety management at local festivals and revitalize tourism through public and private data cooperation.

View original imageThe signing ceremony was held at the Korea Expressway Corporation Seoul-Gyeonggi Headquarters in Hanam, Gyeonggi Province, and was attended by Go Sang-kyung, Senior Executive Vice President in charge of Data Business at Samsung Card, Jung Younghee, Head of the Seoul-Gyeonggi Headquarters of Korea Expressway Corporation, as well as other executives from both companies.
Through this agreement, the two companies plan to explore a variety of collaboration models by combining public and private data. They aim to build diverse cooperative models utilizing Samsung Card's consumer data and Korea Expressway Corporation's rest area-based mobility data.
In addition, the companies plan to introduce a congestion information service within local festival venues, linked with Samsung's integrated financial platform, Monimo. Local governments will be able to assess the number of festival visitors and levels of congestion, enabling them to establish comprehensive safety measures, and the service can also be used to devise tourism strategies and boost the local economy.
Furthermore, the two companies plan to comprehensively analyze the movement and consumption patterns of rest area users to provide customer-tailored services and promote operational efficiency of rest areas.
Meanwhile, Samsung Card has continued to pursue mutually beneficial initiatives utilizing its data analysis capabilities. It is currently offering "Saenghwal Gyeongje MAP," a regional consumption data service under its data analysis platform "Samsung Card Data Lab," and has supported data analytics to invigorate local festivals.
