Rise to Release Japanese Single "Sunburst" on the 26th
SM Entertainment announced on August 25 that the group Rise will release their third Japanese single, "Sunburst," on August 26. This comes six months after the release of their second Japanese single, "All of You," in February.
The new single includes three tracks: the title track "Sunburst," as well as "Rise Over" and "KILL SHOT."
"Sunburst" is a dance song based on house music, featuring synth sounds and a rhythmic beat that evoke a summer atmosphere. The lyrics use the image of pouring sunlight to depict the desire to spend time with someone special in the future.
The choreography is structured like a musical, seamlessly connecting scenes. It features bounce and footwork, along with movements that mimic wiping away sweat and jumping. Rise first performed "Sunburst" last month at a fan meeting in Japan.
The track "Rise Over" will be used as the theme song for the "Winter Cup 2026," the All-Japan High School Basketball Tournament to be held in December. With its fast-paced rock sound, the song conveys a message of pursuing dreams and goals.
