Korean Air to Launch Incheon-Hiroshima Route on December 23
Korean Air announced on August 24 that it will operate daily flights between Incheon and Hiroshima, Japan starting December 23.
The flight will depart from Incheon International Airport at 10:35 a.m. and arrive at Hiroshima Airport at 12:15 p.m. The return flight will depart from Hiroshima Airport at 1:25 p.m. and arrive at Incheon International Airport at 3:25 p.m. The Airbus next-generation new aircraft 'A321neo' will be deployed on this route.
Hiroshima, located in the western part of Honshu in Japan's Chugoku region, is the largest city in the area and offers a diverse range of tourism resources that blend history, nature, and tradition. The UNESCO World Heritage Site Itsukushima Shrine is considered one of Japan's "Three Views" and, along with Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, is a prominent tourist attraction representing Hiroshima. Shukkeien Garden, situated in the city center, is a traditional garden with about 400 years of history, allowing visitors to experience the beauty of Japanese gardens.
Visitors can explore traditional hot spring towns such as Tomonoura and Kinoe, and enjoy the local culinary specialties including Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, oysters, and beef. Several golf courses are located within one hour of Hiroshima Airport, making it an ideal destination for golf trips throughout the year.

Korean Air is continuously strengthening its route competitiveness by expanding its network to regional cities in Japan to meet the increasing demand for travel to Japan. The Incheon-Aomori route has been increased to five flights per week for the summer schedule, while the Niigata and Komatsu routes now operate daily. The Incheon-Okayama route has also been expanded to four flights per week. Korean Air has newly added late-night flights on the Incheon-Kansai route, enhancing travel convenience for visitors to Japan.
