Linksolution Launches Daejeon Defense·Aerospace Center Based on Additive Manufacturing
Linksolution has established the 'Daejeon Defense·Aerospace Center,' a defense-specialized additive manufacturing base, in Daehwa-dong, Daejeon.
According to Linksolution on August 24, the company plans to leverage this center to actively pursue entry into the global defense supply chain by connecting it with the Daejeon Large-scale Additive Manufacturing Foundry (AM Foundry), which is slated to become the largest of its kind in Korea this December.
The Daejeon Defense·Aerospace Center features an independent security infrastructure, including dedicated servers for defense and aerospace projects, terminals specialized for Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM), and designated PCs for controlling 3D printers. Design and manufacturing data are managed in an environment that is completely isolated from any external networks. Through this system, the company aims to actively support prototyping and mass production of high-reliability components applied in aircraft, satellites, launch vehicles, and guided weapons, facilitate the localization of obsolete parts, and respond promptly to urgent manufacturing demands.
Furthermore, the company plans to gradually enhance its security systems to comply with stringent requirements such as the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) demanded by global defense supply chains, thereby strengthening its foundation for winning high-value defense projects and expanding overseas. Currently, Linksolution is also actively collaborating with domestic aerospace companies to manufacture core components for next-generation space vehicles.
