Korean & Company Group Hosts Affiliate Innovation Conference: "Accelerating AI Transformation and Future Technologies"
"Leap Toward Becoming a Global Mobility Tech Group"
Korean & Company Group announced on August 24 that it held its 'Affiliate Innovation Conference' at the Pangyo Technoplex in Gyeonggi Province from the 20th to the 21st to concretize its mid- to long-term business strategies. The event was attended by more than 50 key executives from affiliates, including Group Chairman Cho Hyunbum, Vice Chairman Lee Soo-il, Co-CEOs Kim Junhyun and Park Jongho of Korean & Company, as well as Co-CEOs Ahn Jongseon and Lee Sanghoon of Hankook Tire & Technology.
During the meeting, CEOs of six affiliates—Business-type holding company, Model Solution, Hankook Networks, Hankook Precision Works, Hankook Engineering Works, Precisely Microtechnology, and Hankook & Company Ventures—presented their management performance for the first half of the year and shared their mid- to long-term strategies. They discussed response strategies to external uncertainties such as tariff conflicts and Middle East risks, as well as measures to enhance competitiveness in each business segment.
The group also explored ways to secure mid- to long-term growth engines, including the discovery of new businesses, and to create group-level synergies by expanding collaboration in business, technology, and infrastructure among affiliates.
In particular, the conference focused on the artificial intelligence transformation (AX) that Chairman Cho Hyunbum has emphasized. Participants shared the goal of accelerating innovation in overall business operations and organizational culture based on digital transformation (DX).
They also agreed to establish an operating system that enables the use of AI in work and business, and to continuously verify the return on investment to internalize an AI utilization model optimized for the group. The group aims to advance its AI operations system to improve work efficiency, and to create a virtuous cycle where these gains feed into profitability and enhanced business competitiveness.
As the application of physical AI in manufacturing becomes more widespread, the group plans to establish AI-based standard systems in the manufacturing and logistics sites of each affiliate, thereby improving productivity and quality and elevating manufacturing competitiveness to the next level.
Korean & Company Group is strengthening the execution of its mid- to long-term growth strategies through the annual Affiliate Innovation Conference. In May, Halla OnSystem announced its '2030 Mid- to Long-term Vision and Growth Strategy,' and upcoming in October, Hankook Tire & Technology will hold its own conference.
