KT Takes on "AI for All" with Full-Stack Approach...Unites Domestic NPU, AI Models, and Cloud
KT has announced a full-stack strategy for the government-led "AI for All" project, encompassing everything from domestically produced artificial intelligence (AI) semiconductors to AI models, platforms, clouds, and networks.
On August 23, KT stated that, as the lead company of the consortium, it will bring together domestic AI specialists in the fields of infrastructure, models, and platforms to establish a nationwide foundation for AI services accessible to the general public.
In the AI infrastructure segment, Rebellions, Rablup, and Vessel AI Korea will participate.
By combining Rebellions' domestically developed neural processing units (NPUs), Rablup's AI computing resource management technology, and Vessel AI Korea's AI development and operations platform expertise, the consortium aims to lay the groundwork for the stable and efficient operation of public AI services.
In the area of AI models and platforms, the consortium plans to respond to a wide range of user environments and service needs in collaboration with companies including Upstage, Motif Technologies, NC AI, Saltlux, and ActionPower.
KT also aims to leverage its nationwide telecommunications infrastructure, cloud and data centers, and extensive large-scale service operation experience to ensure that service quality and reliability are maintained even when vast numbers of citizens use AI simultaneously.
By advancing technological integration within the consortium through what it calls "AI orchestration," KT plans to lay the foundation for domestic AI firms' technologies to be translated into real public services, thus contributing to the growth of the AI ecosystem.
