Over 20 Employees of Onsan Smelter and Red Cross Volunteers Participate
To Be Delivered to 300 High-Risk Dementia Households in Ulsan by End of This Month
Korea Zinc Onsan Smelter has organized a volunteer activity in which its employees packaged and produced cognitive activity kits aimed at improving memory to help prevent dementia among vulnerable elderly people in Ulsan.

View original imageOn the 21st, Korea Zinc announced that it had conducted a volunteer event at the Korean Red Cross Ulsan Branch in Jung-gu, Ulsan, to package dementia prevention kit sets.
The purpose is to contribute to improving the cognitive function of high-risk dementia groups in Ulsan and to alleviate the burden of community-based dementia care.
Approximately 20 people, including employees of Korea Zinc Onsan Smelter and Red Cross volunteers, participated in this event, which was organized as part of the “Dementia Prevention Kit Support Project for the Elderly in Welfare Blind Spots” sponsored by Korea Zinc.
The volunteers personally packaged 300 “Memory Game Sets,” which are cognitive activity kits designed to improve memory. The memory game set involves matching cards with identical images, and was created to stimulate memory and concentration. The completed kits will be delivered to 300 households via Red Cross volunteers by the end of this month.

A representative from Korea Zinc Onsan Smelter stated, “We will continue to closely monitor welfare blind spots in the community and pursue meaningful volunteer activities that allow employees to make a practical impact that the local community can genuinely feel.”
